EMR Refresher Course Saturday’s
8:30-5:00 pm 2 sessions 16 hours

Students will learn to:
Recognize, safely assess and effectively manage crisis situations and patients of an emergency nature encountered in the field pre-hospital setting until other EMS providers arrive to take over care.
Participate as a member of an organized pre-hospital emergency medical response team.
When students pass this course they will receive:
Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board Certified
Eligibility to take the National Registry’s First Responder exam
Eligibility to enroll in the Emergency Medical Technician-Basic course
eBook with online materials or a textbook/bundle can be purchased for an additional fee.
Bring to class day 1:
-Please bring a watch with a second hand to class for you vital checks
-Copy of completed FEMA, 100 and 700 per EMSRB/NREMT.
-CPR REFRESHER AT CLASS.
Refrigerator and microwave in class. Restaurants are in the area.

Hands-On Portion: Skills Sessions for In-Person Practice and Testing
For American Heart Association courses that include psychomotor skills such as CPR, students must complete an in-person skills practice and testing session to obtain an AHA course completion card.
With AHA Blended Learning, the skills practice and skills test are taken together during a Hands-on Skills Session after the student completes the eLearning portion online.

EMR Testing 5 Psychomotor skill stations only
This date is for testing only. This is not a class session.
1800-2130 is the course testing time
Anyone is welcome to come to this testing. There is a fee of $50.00 for testing only.
Please contact the office 763-576-8146, if you will be coming to the test; so we can prepare the state testers.

Students will receive:
1. Pearson Online program with eText, Multimedia, quizzes, flashcards, audio text, code is available for 2 years. You can access MyLab BRADY from Blackboard Learn, Bright space by D2L, Canvas, or Moodle.
2. AHA BLS Code to redeem for online work. Skills only will be in class.
3. 30 hours of classroom instruction
A textbook/bundle can be purchased for an additional fee.

When students pass this course they will receive:

2. Pearson online program valid for 2 years.
