Online learning at your individual pace for up to 6 months (Before Skills), with an interactive program that has many different modules to meet your learning style. EMS professionals are available to answer/educate each student over the phone, email, and with the In person Lab sessions.

We are here to give you the best educational EMS experience with the course, clinical and labs.  To become an assist in the EMS work force prepared for employment on a Ambulance, the Emergency Department, Medical Event Coverage or with a Transportation Service.

The ONLINE part of the course MUST be completed prior to starting the Lab with Skills class.

All online products are NON-REFUNDABLE once redeemed.

This course is only 8 sessions. 

LAB SPECIFICS:

  • Saturday-Saturday 0900-5:00 PM Lab/Skill sessions. .
  • The Accelerated lab days must be completed within this program.  You can not take the Instructor Lead dates and exchange with the Lab/Skill dates.  The Syllabus is completed at a different pace.
  • AHA Basic Life Support CPR (BLS) is included in the Lab, no extra fee.
  • ALL ONLINE WORK MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO SIGNING UP FOR THE LAB/SKILLS DATES.  IF YOU ARE SIGNED UP AND WE FIND YOUR ONLINE IS NOT COMPLETE,  YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE LAB/SKILLS SESSION UNTIL WORK IS COMPLETED.

January 6th, 7th, 8th, 10th, 13th, 14th, 15th-Written and Psychomotor EXAM

Feb 17th, 18th, 19th, 21st/EMR exam; 24th, 25th, 26th-Written and Psychomotor EXAM

March 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th, 15th-Written and Psychomotor EXAM

April 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th-Written and Psychomotor EXAM

May 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd-Written and Psychomotor EXAM

The EMT Hybrid course is based on Minnesota & National EMS Education Standards that will govern the way that you learn and practice EMS. Additionally, this course meets the current American Heart Association guidelines for CPR and ECC.

EMT Hybrid Online with Labs with Skills:

  1. AHA BLS CPR course completed in Lab
  2. Background check
  3. Clinical (10+) Patient contacts in a variety of EMS locations.  (LIVE PATIENTS with some scenarios if required). Ambulance North Metro/Rural, Clinics, Emergency Departments, Event coverage around the Twin Cities, and Transportation services.  We have contracts with EMS companies so students can learn most effectively with their newly acquired skills in real-life LIFE EMS EMERGENCIES.
  4. Lab classroom with skills hours with EMS educators with years of EMS experience; Guest speakers.
  5. Online access for 2 years and a download.  100+ hours Online program with Audio, eText, Multimedia w Videos and 3D images, Quizzes/Tests, and Flashcards.  You can access this program from Blackboard Learn, Bright Space by D2L, Canvas, or Moodle. Full access for 2 years and a download.
  6. Access to Educational videos for additional learning.
  7. Written and Psychomotor Skills exam with a FREE 2nd attempt.
  8. SAVE A LIFE includes a POLO Uniform shift /Badge to be worn in class and at students’ clinicals.
  9. Vitals supplies to be used in Lab sessions and to bring with the students Clinical.

Requirements that can be completed prior to course or throughout:

  1. NREMT – Create an account
  2. EMSRB– Follow prompts of yes/no. sign in and fill out EMS application for new or refreshing certifications
  3. FEMA – FEMA certificates requirement for all new and refreshing students. Do the sections of 100, and 700 Print off both certificates and bring to class. No testing of practical skills if this is not completed. If this is already completed just bring in copies

Bring to Lab Day 1:

  1. A Laptop
  2. A completed Online concussion certificate to the lab.
  3. Attire (EMS Professional attire with each Lab with Skills is required).
  4. SAL shirt.  (Provided)
  5. Supplies. (Provided)
  6. If you are current, with your AHA BLS CPR card, then you will not need to complete CPR in our course.  Please provide your card for proof.
  7. A Syllabus will be provided after registration for the course
