EMR Hybrid Course
Online learning at your individual pace, with an interactive program that has many different modules to meet your learning style. Full access for 2 years and/or a download.

EMS professionals are available to answer/educate each student over the phone, email, and In person Lab sessions. We are here to give you the best educational EMS experience with the course, clinical and labs. To become an assist in the EMS work force prepared for employment on a Ambulance, the Emergency Department, Medical Event Coverage or with a Transportation Service.
EMR Hybrid Courses:
- Monday and Thursday’s; 5:30-9:30 PM for Lab sessions
- Day, Evenings, and Weekend sessions
- Minimum age of 16 years old to begin this program is recommended.
LAB Sessions Dates:
May 2nd, 6th, 9th, 13th, 16th, 20th, 23rd, 27th Holiday No class, 30th-Exam.
May 30th, June 3rd, 6th, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th-Exam
July 13th, 20th, 27th, Aug. 3rd-Exam
AHA BLS CPR included in the Lab, no extra fee.

The EMR (Emergency Medical Responder) is a vital part of the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) system. The EMR is trained to get there first-the point when a difference can be made between life and death.
EMR Hybrid Course Instructor Lead with Labs
The Emergency Medical Responder Hybrid blended program (48 hours total), includes Online course, Lab time, psychomotor practical skill stations, and a written exam.
We will cover Airway, Cardiac arrest management, Bleeding control, Back boarding, Splinting, and Vital signs. Patient assessment is the main focus of this course.
Curriculum we will be using is the Emergency Medical Responder; First On Scene, which is the most current selection of EMS practice and shows what the EMS systems and EMR’s are doing around the country.
The EMR Hybrid course is based on Minnesota & National EMS Education Standards that will govern the way that you learn and practice EMS. Additionally, this course meets the current American Heart Association guidelines for CPR and ECC.

EMR HYBRID COURSE INSTRUCTOR LEAD/LABS :
- AHA BLS CPR
- Lab classroom 30 + hours with EMS educators with years of EMS experience; Guest speakers.
- Online access for 2 years and/or a download. 100+ hours Online program with Audio, eText, Multimedia w Videos and 3D images, Quizzes/Tests, Flashcards. You can access this program from Blackboard Learn, Bright space by D2L, Canvas, or Moodle.
- Access to Educational videos for additional learning.
- Written and Psychomotor Skills exam with a FREE 2nd attempt.
- Vitals supplies to be used in Lab sessions.
All Online Chapter readings, Chapter tests, and FEMA, Concussion online work must be completed to be eligible for the Psychomotor exam.
Bring to the fist class:
- Laptop to redeem your eCode for the online and eText. If not already redeemed.
- Watch with a second hand to each lab.
- If you are current, with your AHA BLS CPR card, then you will not need to complete CPR in our course.
- Last day a Laptop to register with EMSRB
